Passport Renewal

The process for renewing a passport is generally the same for adults and minors. All applicants must have their original passport in their possession, they must have a NIN number, additional documents are required for women who wish to change to their husband's names. However minors can only apply for a 5 years passport while adults can apply for either.

You will need to provide the following information:

Your current passport number

Your full name

Your date of birth

Your place of birth

Your sex

Your marital status

Your NIN number

Your state of origin

Your hometown

Your UK address

Your UK telephone number (preferably)

Your email address

There are two types of passports available:

5 year passport (32 or 64 pages)

10year passport (64 pages only) (only available to adults)

Married women who wish to change their name to their husband's name must provide the following additional documents:

Original and photocopy of marriage certificate

Copy of husband's passport

Letter from husband giving consent to name change
